•Implement new supply chain policies and procedures. •Update supply chain practices for any changes in custom duties or import rules and regulations. •Monitor supplier performance to meet quality and delivery requirements. •Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers and freight forwarders. •Collaborate with other departments to identify and qualify new suppliers. Evaluate new technology solutions to improve stock handling. •Purchase Planning and Shipment Handling. •Maintain re-order levels for each stock item. •Maintain realistic lead times for each supplier •Maintain Minimum Order Quantity for each stock item. •Prepare Purchase Plan to ensure availability of goods. •Adjust Purchase plans on monthly basis based on actual sales performance and stock (xii)levels. •Coordinate with the Procurement department to place Purchase Orders to different suppliers. •Follow up on the outstanding Purchase Orders. •Coordinate with the custom clearing agent for speedy custom clearance. •Arrange necessary transportation and labor for movement of goods from the seaport to the warehouse. •Stock Management. •Assign A,B,C categories to all stock items to carry out ABC analysis of stocks. •Design and implement stock strategies based on the sales performance of each region. •Arrange for transfer of goods from the central warehouse to the regional warehouses. •Arrange for inter warehouse transfers between the regional warehouses. •Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns and optimize customer service. •Monitor the slow moving inventory items and prepare recommendations for the management to dispose this stock before it becomes obsolete. •Check for over stocking by mentoring the forward coverage ratio using the actual sales of previous 2 -3 months. •Maintain total inventory costs within the limits defined by the relevant stock policies. Regularly check for the accuracy of computer stock by conducting physical count.
Qualifications •Min 0 - 3 years of experience in supply chain procurement and inventory management role. •Strong organizational and logistics management skills. •Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Arabic. • Knowledge and experience of strategic planning, resource allocation and coordination of people and resources. •Knowledge and experience of moving goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits. •Good geographical knowledge of various parts of MENA region. •Strong data analysis skills. •Full command of using MS office, in particular MS Excel to carry out various planning and data analysis tasks. •Knowledge and experience of ERP Systems (JDE, SAP or similar) is a plus. •Mechanical Engineering background is a plus. •Know ledge and experience in the diesel engines spare parts is a plus.
