Reporting Channel/Interactions:
• Reports directly to the SCAD Specialists and the SCAD Manager
• Interacts and provides assistance to the SCAD Office Team
• Communicates and interacts with university students, staff and external parties
Educational Background:
• BA in Bachelor degree in Management (preferably HR major)
Experience:
• (1 - 3 years) experience in HR or Training
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Providing advice and assistance regarding career development and career search to students and alumni
• Designing and conducting career development workshops and delivering careers-related presentations
• Advising students and Alumni on CVs, cover letters and interviews and holding mock interviews and application form reviews
• offering a drop-in service, where students and graduates can have a short interview about their career needs
• Providing email or telephone advice and guidance interviews
• Developing web-based materials related to “Career Development” for use by students, alumni and employers
• Implementing in cooperation with SCAD team members the full year plan of the career development activities on campus
• Creating, updating and keeping records for the career development programs database
Job-related Skills:
• Computer Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and e-mail; Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign & Premiere
• Organizational Skills
• Language Skills:
Arabic – Fluent (Written & Spoken)
English – Fluent (Written & spoken) for editing purposes
German is an asset
• Administrative Skills: excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skill
• Strong presentation skills, organizational skills and good time management.
• Interpersonal Skills: positive attitude, detail- and customer-oriented, the ability to cope with a variety of tasks under pressure, awareness of current issues in higher education and graduate employment, patience, ability to work both independently and as part of a team
