Installing and upgrading the Oracle server and application tools. Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system. Modifying the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers. Controlling and monitoring user access to the database. Maintaining the database servers. Assigning access to the data. Ensuring maximum security of the server and the data. Creating database storage structures and objects. Allocating storage and system resources as necessary. Backing up and restoring the database.
Qualifications Oracle Database 10G, 11G, 12C and Rac technology knowledge. Knowledge with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery process/scenarios. 2:3 years’ experience with RMAN, and Oracle Reports & Forms. Takes ownership of problems and/or issues and ensures timely resolution. Strong verbal and written communications skills Ability to work with minimal supervision, as well as part of a dynamic DBA team. Assumes total responsibility for work assigned and delivers on commitments. Ability to think analytically, solve problems, make decisions, and collaborate and work with a team.
