Local grade J / Full time (37.5 hrs per five-day week)/ Salary range AED 4,324.32 – AED 5,512.00 per month / Housing allowance AED 1,909.70 per month / Local Indefinite contract / Sharjah / The post is open to British Council UAE internal candidates and external candidates who are eligible to live and work in the UAE.

The British Council UAE is recruiting a Regional MarketPlace Advisor, MENA to provide administrative assistance to the British Council MarketPlaces.

Fluent level of spoken and written English – level B2
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and French (Level B2) for the Levant/ Mahgreb Cluster Hub
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic (Level B2) for the Gulf Cluster Hub
Managing Finance and Resources: uses Resources efficiently in own role and complies with financial rules and procedures
Manages risk: follows good practices
Communicating & influencing: communicates clearly & effectively
Using Technology: operates as an advanced user in all Microsoft office applications and SAP
Planning & organisation: is methodical
Analysing Data & Problems: is systematic
Basic administrative and financial skills with demonstrable attention to detail
Minimum of 2 years administration work experience
Experience in administration of procurement and/or finance.
University degree or equivalent

Local Restrictions on Employment

1. Accompanying partners can only obtain a residence visa if legally married.

2. The authorities may not process visas for those aged 60 or above, which is considered on case to case basis.

3. Successful applicant will be required to undergo security checks with the British Embassy/ Ministry of Foreign Affairs/ UAE Immigration.

4. Medical tests are carried as per UAE regulations before a residence/work visa is granted. The British Council has no control over this process.
