Description A cost control engineer generally forecasts, monitors, manages and controls costs. Also, Responsible for providing cost planning and control services, Project financial reporting. Critical Duties: —Provide a complete Cost Engineering service to projects and corporate management for all projects of the Company. —Prepare project cost estimate of resources and other expenses through discussions with functional leaders in a timely manner using generic cost structure. —Record/extract Committed/Spent Cost to-date for Direct Costs for: - Resource cost from Primavera or other relevant systems. - Other indirect project costs from internal/external sources from a company system. Routine Duties: —Generate weekly and monthly cost reports in tabular and graphical formats for each project in Primavera or other tools. — Perform cost analysis and advise project leaders on cost over-runs in a timely manner so the corrective actions can be taken —At the time of project completion, record cost information in project database (Primaeval Methodology Manager or any other tool, as required) using standard cost structure and utilize this cost database for future project cost estimation. —Maintain and promote realism in the cost forecasts in the face of commercial pressure and optimism from project teams.
Qualifications •Bachelors degree in Engineering (Civil) •Not less than 5 years experience in the same field
