Description Provide monitoring, evaluation and accountability support for the Youth in Action (YouAct) program by designing, implementing and mainstreaming MEAL practices into YouAct. S/he will also prepare monthly reports on project progress, set up accountability and M&E systems, increase quality of evidence through technical support, promote data-driven decision making, as well as participation of children and youth in implementing, monitoring and evaluating the YouAct program. The MEAL Officer will also be involved in building staff and partners capacity for better M&E and accountability to beneficiaries, as well as contribute to the agency-wide learning
Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree – economics, law or sociology preferred • Demonstrated report writing, data analysis, analytical thinking, and planning skills • Experience in case study development and/or research • Minimum of 4 years work experience with at least 2 years in M&E • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills (particularly looking for a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines) • Experience providing technical assistance and capacity building • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills • A flexible and initiative-taking, proactive, inspiring attitude with the ability to manage and prioritise an unpredictable workload • Solid computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point) • Knowledge of SPSS or ACCESS desired • A commitment to the values and principles of Save the Children
