Description 1. To support the development of relevant monitoring and evaluation systems and mechanisms for emergency response programs 2. To ensure principles of quality and accountability are integrated into the overall monitoring, evaluation and management of the humanitarian response 3. To support the building of local capacity on critical M&E, quality and accountability skills, to ensure sustainability of the systems put in place
Qualifications • Minimum 2 - 3 years experience of working in monitoring, evaluation or accountability, ideally including: programmatic audits, systematic tracking and analysis, reviews in an emergency setting: practical experience of developing real time evaluations, assessment systems and also undertaking evaluations or leading evaluation/review teams • Degree (or equivalent qualification) • Experience in case study development and/or research • Proven analytical and problem solving skills in order to understand the range and content of the emergency programmes’ work and provide practical solutions to operational challenges • Ability to work with children and affected individuals and groups

Other Skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams including international and national personnel • A flexible and initiative-taking, proactive, inspiring attitude with the ability to manage and prioritise an unpredictable workload • Willingness and ability to operate an ‘open-door’ policy with regards to colleagues seeking immediate information and support • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking/ proactive in identifying difficulties and working cooperatively to solve them • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills (particularly looking for a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines) • High computer skills on MS Office programs, especially in MS Excel • A commitment to the values and principles of Save the Children
