Description Develop and manage the proposal, bidding, and negotiation process while adhering to applicable legal standards and companys policies. Ensure all purchasing activities support and strengthen the strategic objectives of the overall organization. Maintain a strong database for suppliers & vendors in the Egyptian market of domestic or imported products & materials. Maintain a solid background in the field of logistics & maritime transportation. Build and develop good relationships with current key suppliers & seeking to build relations with potential suppliers. Ensure the adequacy of specifications for purchasing purposes. Review supplier financial positions, market reputation & reports and evaluate overall supplier health (supplier risk assessment). Review and assess total supply chain risk and identify opportunities to minimize and eliminate risk. Evaluate cost and quality of materials, equipment, products, or services purchased. Manage purchase requisitions/orders. Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability and alternative sources of supply. Review records of materials, equipment, products, or services ordered and received. Review existing contracts & agreements, work on developing weakness points & ensure that all aspects in existing or new contracts are clear & understood for all parties (Operations, Maintenance, Finance etc‡). Interview, select, coach, train, manage, and appraise the performance of associated staff.
Qualifications Associate’s degree in Engineering or related field. From 10 to 15 years of prior professional experience at least 5 years in managerial position. The ability to prioritize, be attentive to details, maintain confidentiality is required. Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving and computer skills required. A sense of urgency and a commitment to timely completion of projects.
