Description Oversee the implementation of all grant programs including announcements, recruitment, selection, placement, orientations, specialized programming, scholarship monitoring, and ensure client satisfaction Oversee all fee-for service activities including proposing fees, budgeting costs, accurate management of all program details, and customer satisfaction Develop new exchange program concept papers and proposals that serve AMIDEASTs mission, vision, and values for Egypt Ensure that all department processes are efficient and effective Identify and implement approaches to build on AMIDEASTs current programs to develop institutional capacity and initiate new programs Develop and monitor budgets for all exchange programs Supervise and motivate exchange program staff and build connections with other AMIDEAST departments. Actively participate in strategic planning, goal setting and annual budget preparation Prepare and submit accurate and timely technical, statistical, and financial reports to partners, donors, and to AMIDEAST HQ Ensure accurate management and monitoring of grant agreements Coordinate with AMIDEAST HQ, AMIDEAST Alexandria, and other AMIDEAST Field Offices as needed Conduct outreach activities including public speaking, media interviews and other opportunities to promote awareness of AMIDEAST programs Actively network with local and international organizations and institutions involved in exchange programs and keep abreast of changes and developments in Egyptian public and private education at the highest levels to identify opportunities for AMIDEAST Foster collaborative working relationships with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and with public- and private-sector educational institutions
Qualifications • B.A. and seven years of related project management experience • Five years of high school or college/university exchange program experience • Native speaker level fluency in spoken and written English • Fluent in Arabic • Supervisory experience • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills • Experience administering both Egyptian and U.S. education and exchange activities • Ability to organize and maintain large amount of detailed information • Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities • Ability to work independently and accept responsibility • Excellent computer literacy in MS Office
