Description 1. Demonstrate knowledge and assist Physical Education Teachers in understanding the goals of the departments curriculum. 2. Provides effective instructional strategies to all teachers in the department. 3. Monitors the effectiveness of the Physical Education sessions for all teachers in the department. 1. Evaluates the performance of all Physical Education Teachers. 2. To maintain good order and discipline among the pupils. 3. To organise and manage groups or individual pupils ensuring differentiation of needs, reflecting all abilities. 4. To participate in staff meetings and parents meetings as required. 5. To be part of a whole school team, actively involved in decision-making on the preparation and development of policies and programmes and resources. 6. To ensure that school policies are reflected in daily practice. 7. To communicate with parents over all aspects of their childrens social and behavioural progress. 8. Promoting the capabilities of the Physical Education department. 9. To promote the welfare of children and to support the school in safeguarding children though relevant policies and procedures. 10. To promote equality as an integral part of the role and to treat every student with fairness and dignity. 11. Supervises students in and out-of-classroom activities during the school day; breaks and dismissal time. 13. Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional atmosphere in the session. 14. Evaluates students keeps appropriate records, and prepares progress reports. 15. Identifies student needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students solve health, attitude, and learning problems. 16. Provide adequate planning / equipment that allow all children to be active at the same time. 17. Plan practice opportunities that are structured for maximum participation of students. 18. Planning after school clubs for activities.
Qualifications - Previous experience as Physical Education Head of Department.
