Description Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations —Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans —Obtain, analyze and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc —Prepare and present reports that reflect audits results and document process —Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement —Identify and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings —Maintain open communication with management and external auditors —Document process and prepare audit findings. —Conduct follow up audits to monitor managements interventions —Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding sectors rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards —Manage and execute the Internal Audit Activity to support the strategic directions. —Coordinate specific processes to support the implementation and execution of the Audit Plan —Develop and maintain strategic and operational risk based audit plans —Conducts risk assessments and identifies controls in place to mitigate identified risks. —Utilities audit software and data analytical tools to enhance efficiencies in the audit process. —Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy. —Maintains financial security by establishing internal controls. —Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information. —Analyses and concludes on effectiveness and efficiency of control environment. —Identifies control gaps and opportunities for improvement. —Apply Corporate Governance. —Maintain and Recommend changes in the corporate credit policy. —Manage customer credit files and periodic credit reviews.
Qualifications •Excellent knowledge of business operations and risk-based auditing attained through 6 to 9 years of progressive work experience with a focus on financial risk and regulatory requirements. •Motivated, goal oriented, persistent and a skilled negotiator. •B.sc of Commerce with Major Accounting. •Post Graduate degree is a must. •Excellent Managerial and analytical skills. •Excellent written and oral communication skills. •Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well. •Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction.
