Description — Organizing meetings — Booking flights and accommodations — Monitoring the work of secretarial, clerical and administrative staff — Implementing and maintaining health and safety policies — Co-ordinate office staff activities to ensure maximum efficiency — Maintaining filing systems — Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data — Implementing procedural and policy changes to improve operational efficiency — Developing and implementing new administrative systems, such as record management — Recording office expenditure and managing the budget — Organizing the office layout and maintaining supplies of stationery and equipment — Maintaining the condition of the office and arranging for necessary repairs — Organizing and chairing meetings with staff - in lower paid roles including typing the agenda and taking minutes — Ensuring adequate staff levels to cover for absences and peaks in workload — Carrying out staff appraisals, managing performance and disciplining staff
