• Responsible for securing the best price for all purchases without jeopardizing quality and time. • Achieving the department & company targets for cost saving & cost avoidance. • Ensure transparent competition among available and potential suppliers. • Responsible for generating and submitting purchase orders in accordance with the company policies and procedures. • Maintain a large database of vendors and contacts within the industry. • Coordinate deliveries and shipments of all supplies. • Maintain all purchasing documents and reports. • Prepare & submit the necessary data required for purchasing reports. • Co-ordinate with plant managers and plant teams for required purchases & provide needed technical support. • Liaising with finance department the payment and transactions day by day. • Provide the necessary support & knowledge for the purchasing team.
Qualifications • Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) • 6to 10 years of experience in the industrial field / purchasing activities. • Good technical back ground in plants maintenance & different types of Spare parts (Previous experience in maintenance is an asset) • High negotiation and communication skills. • Good computer skills • Good knowledge with ERP systems
