The Resource Development and Communications Coordinator will work to locate, develop and maintain the financial, human and in-kind resources necessary to achieve the vision of the national program. And will share in evaluating how this vision can best be evaluated given the current context. He/She will report directly to the National Director. Responsibilities will include:1. Coordinate resource development and communications annual campaign. • Share and implement a resource development and communications strategy. • Identify and prioritize relevant sources of financial, human or in-kind resources that are aligned with the strategy and will meet the needs of the national program. • Represent the organization to English-speaking constituents. 2. Build capacity for sustainable resource development and communications efforts. • Establish, maintain and ensure the sustainability of necessary systems for coordinating resources, including computer databases to track donors and potential resources. • Maintain an up-to-date collection tools that can be used to communicate the external case statement, including (but not limited to) brochures, videos. Website. Presentations, and newsletters. • Network and build the relationships necessary to realize the potential of financial, human and in-kind resources. 3. Coordinate communication to volunteers and youth. • Develop and implement a strategy for Habitat for Humanity program enhancement, such as volunteer involvement, Global Village, or Campus Chapter and Youth Programs. • Coordinate pilot initiatives in program enhancement within cultural and legal constraints. • Create appropriate training and communication materials for participants in GV or CCYP initiatives. • Evaluate piloted initiatives and develop recommendations for building long-term capacity for volunteer involvement. 4. Other responsibilities as assigned by the National Director.
Qualifications Bachelors degree or equivalent International NGO experience. 3-5 years experience in community development. Excellent group facilitation and problem solving. Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills. Proficiency in applicable language for area of assignment. Excellent command of English Required to travel up to 50% of the time.
