Job Title: Administration & Financial Officer
Location: Cairo
Contract: Full time, One Year Contract
The British Embassy in Cairo is seeking to recruit an administrative and financial officer to its programmes team. The Programmes team work on delivering an array of projects that focus on empowering and supporting Egypt’s stability and development. This is an interesting role for a resourceful candidate. It requires excellent organisational skills, teamwork and the ability to process tasks systematically.
Main duties and responsibilities

1) Administration:
- Assist programmes team with managing data and information.
- Ensure a proper filing system is in place and hard copies of signed off contracts and documents are securely saved.
- Create and update the contacts database regularly.
- Create and maintain the programmes team library.
- Liaise with programmes team to update the comms grid on a monthly basis and the newsletter on a quarterly basis.
2) Finance and procurement:
- Be responsible for setting up new suppliers and for preparing contracts.
- Raise requisitions and receipt payments on prism.
- Conduct monthly financial profiling and reporting. Oversee the projects’ spend and spot any under or over spend and report to programmes team.
- Close POs at the end of the project duration.
3) Events and visits:
- Liaise with programme managers and arrange logistics of internal and external events.
- Liaise with programme managers and arrange logistics for in-country visits.
- Attend project related events and visits as required.
4) Other:
- Provide full support to programme managers, Head and Deputy - Head of Programmes as and when needed.
- Work on any additional adhoc projects when required
Qualifications:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office
At least 2 years’ experience in administration and financial management

The position is Band A2(L) and the Monthly Gross Salary is LE7143 subject to tax as per the usual regulations.
