This position will manage the Planning team to achieve following goals: -To ensure the efficient and timely management of work orders to meet inventory stock requirements and customer order requirements -To ensure optimum stock levels are in place and monitored which allow for flexibility on work orders to meet customer’s demands in an efficient manner -To plan production in a manner to which provides optimum usage of the production capacity in all areas -To implement robust systems which allow for the dynamic nature of production requirements and development -To liaise effectively with product development team and manufacturing team to ensure effective communication of production plans of new product -Develop a clear understanding of customer expectations and ensure the planning functions can help deliver these through effective systems and liaising with relevant departments to ensure compliance is met -Take a proactive approach to planning critical materials by completing risk assessments and highlighting concerns to the relevant colleagues -Develop and maintain process, procedure, and policy documentation for planning including flowcharts, policy statements, detailed descriptions and so forth. -Develop and document all key business functions in the ERP and ancillary systems relating to planning including step-by-step work instructions with screenshots and example data -To develop the team to improve capabilities and knowledge of the value stream functions -To manage staff performance and pro-actively deal with deficiencies -Systems Improvement and Measurement: -To analyze the current planning and ERP tools used by the Company and devise and implement improvements -To support organizational KPI’s which address the objectives of the Business Unit -To provide data and monthly reports which highlight issues and solutions, together with improvements.
Qualifications -B.sc Engineering . -Minimum of 10 years of -professional experience in -Manufacturing company, minimum 4 years of which in a similar position. -Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. -Knowledge of planning functions in ERP database
