Description - Managing parts of construction projects
- Overseeing building work
- Undertaking surveys
- Setting out sites and organizing facilities
- Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly
- Supervising contracted staff
- Ensuring projects meet agreed specifications, budgets or timescales
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other professional staff, especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager
- Providing technical advice and solving problems on site
- Preparing site reports and filling in other paperwork
- Liaising with quantity surveyors about the ordering and negotiating the price of materials
- Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered.
- Insure the proper follow up and secured the execution of work activities according to the specification, drawing, and contract documents.
- Monitoring and controlling the work programs quality and safety measurements.
- Assure the proper utilization of resources to maximizing the benefits to the work programs and quality.
Qualifications - Bachelors degree in civil or structural engineering, construction, building. - Considerable experience in a similar position. - In-depth knowledge of engineering, technology, building, construction, and design - Proficient in the use of computer aided design (CAD) software. - Proven track record for managing personnel and material resources - Exemplary critical thinking, analytical, and complex problem-solving skills - Strong time management and project management skills - Active listening and verbal communication skills
