s a Downstream Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for all Quality activities for ELN at downstream from Distributors Stores Pharmacies & Retailers to the shelves at points of sales and to ensure product, storage, transportation and handling are compliant to quality & food safety standards of ELN, and ensuring product, processes are in compliance with Legal, Compliance and Danone standards. Support GS in delivering all quality documents related to registration process and handling all NFSA comments and requirements in terms of Quality parameter and Represent Quality team in Group claim committee
About the job
As a Downstream Quality Specialist, you will be doing the following activities:
Product Quality @ Supply Chain / Danone Cold chain / ELN Distributors
Managing and leading external audits for warehouses (Danone Distributions centers (DC’s) - Trucks), coordination with other functions from Sales, supply chain, and Quality teams – ELN if needed.
Ensure product storage conditions are maintained as per standard requirements through supply chain (DC’s and Trucks) to POS
Ensures that the processes at SC are compliant with Danone processes requirements (Storage - transportation- handling …).
Validation, Qualification and assessment for ELN distributors storage locations in Egybia region with relevant follow up on action plans arising.
Manage quality at supply chain connection processes, including non-conformity cases, leading investigations and following up related action plans.
Monitor performance of Quality requirements at SC to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
Ensure review and update of Quality standard operating procedures, processes and systems at SC.
Leads validation and verification activities for new projects which have QFS impact at SC level.
Establishes defined Quality KPI’s at SC & Market according to Danone standard and to follow up the action plans to improve the quality at SC.
Communication with supply factories for quality incidents & investigations
Product quality performance in market:
Plan store check program frequency and design through inhouse / third party agency management for both ELN and Dairy categories.
Managing store check program implementation for both Dairy and ELN and ensure compliance to pre-set plans.
Creation of relevant action plans arising from store check runs outcomes.
Accountable for Co- Manufacturing Quality Management System:
Maintaining the compliance of our products at Distributors level according to Danone Standards
Handling any processes deviation or violation at/from Warehouse sites
Sharing Danone audit team for Stores Audit across governs (FSI global Danone Audit)
Distribute development plan through (Training plan –processes verification plans)
Responsible for Qualification/introduction of new Distributors as per Distributor approval procedure together with FS department, C&P and Sales.
Training program:
Establish training program for Supply chain including WH, transportation and sales employees if needed.
Share Quality contact with supply chain to be shared on monthly meeting.
Consumer voice Management:
Setting consumer complaints annual target according to company plan.
Responsible for managing ELN and COMAN product complaints starting from contacting consumers till giving feedback after investigation outcome from manufacturing site
Responsible for tracking all consumer contacts received from different platforms (careline, social media, sales…etc.) and agree on relevant action plan to handle contacts received.
Handling third party careline with training and qualification.
Cooperation and reporting to central team the consumer voice updates in Egybia on monthly basis.
Promotional objects:
Managing Promotional objects validation for Egypt for both Dairy and ELN.
Training of all relevant stakeholders on Promotional objects procedure.
Support providing all registration documents of quality aspects along with GS team
Registration & Group Claims:
Support GS in preparation for registration dossier through communicating with Utrecht & supply factories ( HAPS, STV & POLAND)
Prepare all quality documents related to registration and reviewing all quality parameters needed for dossier submission at NFSA
Support Group claim through by providing all quality inputs and seeks support and advice from global quality team if needed
Responsible to validate all materials submitted to GC committee in terms of quality
ABOUT YOU
To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:
Education: Bachelor Degree preferably in Food Science/ Biology/ Pharmacy
Languages required: Excellent Arabic & English – spoken, written and reading.
Experience: 0 to 3 years of Experience in Quality/ Food Safety.
Computer skills: Excellent competency in use of Microsoft Office especially Excel and Power Point.
