Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Maintenance:
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded.
Prepare and post journal entries, including adjustments, accruals, and reclassifications.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Assist in the preparation of management reports and financial analysis to support business decisions.
Monitor and report on financial performance, highlighting key trends and variances from budget.
Compliance and Auditing:
Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and standards.
Assist in preparing for and coordinating internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records to support audit processes.
Tax Compliance:
Prepare and file tax returns, including corporate income tax, VAT, and other relevant taxes.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring that the company remains compliant.
Calculate and process tax payments, ensuring timely and accurate filing.
Financial Analysis:
Provide financial analysis to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or efficiency improvements.
Support management in decision-making by providing clear and concise financial insights.
Support to Finance Team:
Assist in the implementation and enhancement of accounting systems and processes.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data is shared across the organization.
Qualification
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 2-4 years of experience in general accounting or a related role.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
