Civil Section Head - Tendering
Job Purpose:
Will be responsible for leading the tendering process for civil engineering and finishes projects. Also responsible for the process of tendering, bidding, and proposal development.
Job Description:
1. Lead the preparation of cost estimates, bids, and proposals for civil engineering and finishes projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
2. Analyze project requirements, budgets, and timelines to develop strategic pricing strategies that maximize profitability.
3. Approve tenders/costing policies and produce a work plan.
4. Finalizes estimation of all direct and indirect costs and consolidates tender documents for management review and approval.
5. Engage with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and expectations for civil engineering and finishes projects.
6. Ensure timely and accurate communication with clients throughout the tendering process, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
7. Develop and implement standardized processes and procedures for civil and finishes tendering activities to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality.
8. Conduct post-tender reviews and analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance tendering effectiveness and efficiency.
9. Studies, analyses, and evaluates tender documents from a technical point of view to identify risk factors, ensuring that technical terms comply with the relevant standards and coordinate with management for the overall risk assessment and final bid decision.
10. Provides all the necessary project clarifications/ information upon project award to the Project Manager as per the project budget; advises the Project Manager on contractual rights, and remedies that have been taken into consideration during tendering.
11. Studies, analyses, and evaluates tender documents from a technical point of view to identify risk factors, ensuring that technical terms comply with the relevant standards and coordinate with the Division Heads, COO, and General Manager for the overall risk assessment and bid decision.
Job Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
-7 to 10 years of experience.
-Strong understanding of construction contracts, pricing models, and procurement processes.
-SAP User.
-Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
