Oversee and manage all Quality Control (QC) activities, providing support to QC Technicians as needed.
Develop, revise, and submit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for approval when necessary.
Conduct and supervise testing of SASO samples as outlined in specified monthly reports.
Perform and monitor testing for:
Stability
Returned Finished Goods
Colors
Catalogues
Colorants
Finished Goods
Raw Materials (RMs)
Packaging
Samples for all company departments
Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and operational condition of laboratory equipment and instruments.
Finalize daily test reports for finished products, authorize batch tickets, and promptly communicate results to production, while assisting with troubleshooting quality-related issues.
Address and investigate customer and supplier complaints, including verification, testing, and reporting.
Prioritize testing activities in the quality control laboratory based on urgency and importance.
Select and manage Standard (STD) samples by batch number to ensure consistency and verify that test results meet required specifications.
Engage in continuous cost reduction initiatives, including:
Optimizing electricity and water use
Managing leftover samples
Minimizing packaging waste
Coordinate and support both internal and external audits, ensuring the implementation of corrective and preventive actions as recommended.
Adhere to laboratory safety rules and instructions, maintaining cleanliness and proper upkeep of the workspace and equipment.
Document all laboratory activities and prepare regular reports.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the direct manager.
Fully commit to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements and cease any activities that do not comply with these standards.
Ensure that all supervised employees strictly follow HSE instructions.
Exercise decision-making authority on actions impacting environmental, occupational health, and safety considerations.
QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering/ Chemist.
Experience2-4 years’ of experience in paints industry.
