Description In this role you will ensure timely & correct accounting of financial documents for Basra in line with Qatar Airways Financial policies and internal accounting procedures. You will support the Strategic planning, Decision making, Costing, Project Management, Financial planning and Analysis in the station. Your key accountabilities will include but not be limited to daily sales verification and timely settlements in the designated banks ; ensuring receivables are collected on time and payable are paid timely with no penalties ; verify/ prepare all invoices including ICH invoices as per Finance policies and IAPs ;verify/prepare payment analysis for all major expenses including DOC ; verify/prepare supplier/customer reconciliations . You will also support auditors during station audit and be involved in training new staff.
Qualifications To be successful in this role you will have to be a Commerce and/or Accounting Graduate from a reputed University. You would also have successfully completed Intermediate/ Accounting Certificate courses like CA/CPA/ACCA/CIMA/ICWA or an MBA Finance. You will need to have an Accounting Experience of 4 years in airlines with at least 2 Years in similar capacity. You should have a user level experience with ERP, be proficient with spread sheets. You will also have knowledge on Contracts and on Local laws and regulations like VAT, Tax, Payroll etc. In this role knowledge of Arabic is essential.
