Troubleshooting network problems; Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; Prepares users by designing and conducting training programs; Upgrades network developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements. Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets; monitoring expenses. Protects organizations value by keeping information confidential. A network specialist needs to maintain the integrity of a network system by overseeing the cooling system, the delivery capacity of the system server and the installed software. He/she installs, tests and maintains the telephone and network system, set up firewalls, the UPS, routers and data circuits. They make budgetary quotations for purchase of hardware and software needs, develop IT security software and keep staff and head departments updated on recent upgrades or issues. Qualifications a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or information technology. Some acquire IT certification.
