Description Monitor corrosion within the oil/gas pipelines units and provide recommendations periodically to minimize/control the corrosion rate. Evaluate the effectiveness of the corrosion inhibitors in pipeline protection and assist the oil/gas pipelines in benchmarking the corrosion control practices with other practices used in the industry. Recommends new technologies in the field of corrosion. Performs corrosion failure investigations and special corrosion related studies. Reviews corrosion mitigation and monitoring activities in the field to identify needed system modifications or procedural changes. Initiates and conducts special studies to minimize/control the corrosion in the pipeline/refinery units to improve the facilities operation. Provides special technical service, consulting and assisting in design and construction of corrosion control projects. Work with concerned area inspectors and process engineers to monitor and control process parameters related to corrosion. Carry out corrosion risk assessments for offshore and onshore pipelines Provide corrosion consultancy services to customers on pipeline and associated plants Review and approve contractor/subcontractor/ vendor procedures relating to coating application and material use.
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or any related field Preferred to be NACE certified •Good team player •Ability to communicate effectively within the team and with relevant project teams •Demonstrate integrity and respect for others.
