Description -Responsible for identifying hazardous workplace conditions. -Takes samples and measurements of hazardous materials, and coordinates the removal of physical, biological and chemical hazards. -Trains employees on safety policies, procedures and regulations. -Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations and ensures necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines. -Participates in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections, -providing inspectors with appropriate documents and identifying safety measures. -Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures -Works under general supervision. -Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Qualifications -Helps design and implement organizational health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies and regulations to ensure a healthy, safe and environmentally compliant working environment. -Monitors the removal of physical, biological and chemical hazards and trains employees on health, safety and associated environmental policies, procedures, and regulations. -Maintains corporate automated security system and employee identification card system -conducts inspections of work area and equipment for compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements. -Ensures employees in each function follow established health, safety and environmental protection procedures and comply with associated federal, state and local regulations.
