Description Manage, direct, and coordinate activities of the Finance Department Develop and implement the financial strategy and design initiative plans; Prepare department & company budget and monitor expenditures Supervise, motivate, and monitor the accounting team. Conduct weekly meetings to identify weak areas and take appropriate corrective actions Assist in training, developing and coaching the accounting team; Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations; Establish employee performance standards; prepare and conduct employee performance reviews Develop and implement the financial policies, systems and procedures Provide a professional, cost effective, timely and seamless financial accounting service through directing and managing the initiation, authorization, processing and recording of all financial operations including the management of accounts payable; accounts receivable, asset management, cash management, budgeting and forecasts, general ledger and variance reconciliations, regulatory and internal reports, audit and tax planning Control all financial reports prepared for EFSA, Arope Lebanon, etc. Follow-up on specific questions or items of concern resulting from the review of financial reports. Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position.
Qualifications •Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Management or similar; A Masters degree and/or professional certificate is preferred •Minimum of 20 years of experience in a Financial Managerial role • Experience and knowledge of generally accepted accounting standards and their application to financial practices and reporting requirements particularly in the insurance sector.•Intensive experience in the preparation of monthly accounts and reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting standards, including the preparation of revenue and expense accruals, budget preparation and monitoring .Proven senior and general management experience with proven track record of achievement in fast moving, results-driven environment.•Strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus •Demonstrated work experience in leading, managing, and motivating people to accomplish strategic business goals
