Description provide crop specific hands-on training and in-field technical assistance to small farmers to demonstrate good agricultural practices necessary to increase yields and quality and to meet the demands of high value local and export markets; assist in meeting standards and requirements of internationally recognized quality certifications (e.g., GlobalGAP).
Qualifications 10+ years’ experience in production of a high value, exportable horticultural crop or crops; strong practical experience in implementing GlobalGAP, Fairtrade or other relevant quality certifications for horticultural exports; Masters or PhD in relevant field is preferred; familiar with recent advances in agriculture, as well as current issues impacting on the agricultural sector (e.g., climate change, decreasing water resources, etc.)

Other Skills university degree in relevant field and excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in using MS Office applications is an essential job requirement.
