Description —Provide leadership for the category team and across the company to ensure that the various functions supporting the Fashion businesses have accountability for all important metrics such as increased selection, unit growth, inventory turns, and in-stock rates. —Develop and execute periodic innovation aimed at improving customer experience, and strengthening suppliers relationships. —Provide local input to defining the customer experience and customer satisfaction and represent that to senior executives, suppliers, as well as your category team. —Work cross functionally with Regional teams in Technology, Operations and Customer Service to help establish the right processes and optimize them to utilize resources most efficiently. —Overcome and solve complex obstacles that impact the Fashion category and possibly other categories, effectively escalate issues across Regional and Local teams in the company. —Focus on providing localized knowledge to EGY management to improve the category by building plans through early identification of the competition, and understanding the customer needs and pushing for features and products that will differentiate Souq.com from others in the local market. —Develop and execute sustainable process improvements across the functions which create year-over-year efficiency in the category. —Identify new approaches for improving selection and category awareness to better manage the Fashion category over the long run. —Focus on talent management of the Spain team which includes effectively hiring and developing the best talent, and creating an environment which motivates people to thrive in their expertise and deliver aggressive results. —Responsible for the Category KPIs.
Qualifications •Professional experience in e-commerce, retail or consulting within a demanding corporate environment. •Proven analytically skills and ability to influence people both internally and externally. •Decisive and able to move with speed to implement ideas. •A passionate self-starter, ready to take Souq.com experience to the next level. •Strong communication skills, including ability to write compelling, concise documents and present your ideas with passion and persuasion. •Broad commercial awareness developed in a high-growth, fast-moving environment. •Strong retail or product background with proven ability to drive change. •University degree ideally in a technical or analytic discipline.
