Description Coordinate with (OHF, AKF and AKU-SON) and stakeholders including SVU, to develop a detailed implementation plan for the Aswan Nursing Programme with identified responsibilities and timelines; Track progress against detailed implementation plans and work to ensure that project milestones are delivered and - in consultation with AKDN agencies and local stakeholders that remedial action is taken when necessary; Provide oversight and management control for the ANP components; Identify technical support needs for the ANP. Identify, recruit and manage consultants to provide necessary technical support to the ANP, as defined in the implementation plan Maintain good communications with AKDN agencies, donor partners and local stakeholders to keep them informed of project progress and issues/ challenges as they arise; Track spending against allocated budget, maintain regular financial updates. Develop all proposal documents for the Faculty of Nursing (FoN) initiative in consultation with AKU-SON; Facilitate the formation and functioning of the FoN Project Steering Committee/ Advisory Committee in consultation with AKU-SON and local stakeholders. In consultation with AKU and SVU, develop and deliver a Human Resource plan for staffing of the FoN that will enable SVU to plan and deliver the FoNs academic programmes, including identifying staff to undergo training.
Qualifications • A minimum of Master’s Degree is required in a related field (e.g. education, nursing, international development, social sciences). An MBA degree is preferred; • At least 5-7 years of proven leadership and experience in establishing and leading new programmes and projects; • Proven project management skills; • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills, in English and Arabic; • Experience in international development and especially academic development in low to middle income countries; • Strong negotiation skills; • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
