Description To successfully deliver against the main purpose and objectives, the HSSE Advisor: 1. Will be inducted by BGE HSSE Manager on BG HSSE standards/life savers and the risk assessment of the project. 2. Implement HSSE objectives for the project, recording and reviewing progress and performance against them. 3. Review and audit the HSSE activities on the project to meet BG requirement and work to minimise risks. 4. Ensure that HSSE performance is correctly recorded by all parties. 5. Ensure that the risk assessments and mitigations is fully adhered by the contractors. 6. Conduct daily toolbox talks and implement these sessions to obtain optimum results. 7. Proactively implement changes in worksite culture to that HSSE becomes an instinctive part of day-to-day operations on site. 8. Introduce positive reinforcement of good HSSE behaviours, including management of an intervention awareness culture. 9. Conduct daily hands-on observations of site conditions, tools and equipment, material handling and storage and input corrective actions where deviations from BG standards are found. 10. Intervene where HSSE policies, standards or behaviours are not being followed correctly. 11. Attend all regular site meetings, report weekly performance statistics to the project team and minute HSSE action points.
Qualifications At least 2 years of HSE work experience with reputable companies. NIBOSH/ OSHA certified
