Description Administration of active directory, DNS and DHCP and related Windows administration activities in accordance with Methanex policies and procedures. Backup administration for all the Company information systems to ensure proper data recovery if needed, revise backup policies and recommend changes. Administration of file/print services to make sure of data availability and protection, also to provision for new system needs. Support Data Center Facility Infrastrucure and operating conditions to ensure high level of availability and reliability. Install, configure and support for the Virtual Infrastrucure to ensure optimal use of resource. Support for the Linux Servers to ensure optimal use of resource. Technical focal point in the Disaster Recovery Infrastructure, assist the Senior system administrator in the over all strategy. Support, control and provision for the systems storage and needs to keep the system scalable. Monitors systems and takes proactive measures to ensure availability and integrity. Maintain Preventive Maintenance schedules for all systems to ensure reliability. Conduct systems hardware and software testing to ensure controlled deployments. Manage vendors contracts related to his area of work, provide feedback and technical advice to the Senior Systems Administrator and the IT Manager. Maintain relationships with vendors in order to understand current and emerging technologies. Assit the Senior SystemsnAdministrator in Provision for systems resouces needs to ensure scalability for the different systems
Qualifications Degree in Telecommunication Engineering/Computer science or relevant studies. Microsoft Systems : Microsoft Certified System Administrator (required). Unix/Linux administration skills (desirable) ITIL (desirable) PMP(desirable) MSCE (desirable) At least 4 years experience in a similar position. One year working experience with Virtual environments, preferably VMware. One year exposure to DR concept with hands on experience in establishing Disaster recovey sites preferably on NetApp technology. Minimum one year working experience with Symantec backup solutions preferably Netbackup. Minimum one year working experience with firewall Technology. Minimum one year working with Linux/Unix Technology.
