Translator/Interpreter at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands is recruiting a Translator/Interpreter.
Responsibilities include: Providing English summaries of news articles from the local media.

• Translation of reports, documents and letters.
• Translation of invoices and other standard items.
• Interpretation of conversations.
• Assistance in operational management and consular affairs.
Applicants should comply with the following requirements:

Applicants should comply with the following requirements:
• Higher professional level of education.
• Mastery of English, Arabic.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Skilled in translating and interpreting.
• Unquestionable integrity and work ethics.
• Understanding of role of Embassy and its activities. Understanding of organisational and functional arrangements within the embassy.
• Skilled in collecting and clarifying information and providing management information.
• Ability to express him/herself fluently both orally and in writing in Arabic, English.
• A good command of French is an advantage.
Competences :
The requested candidate should be committed to quality, have excellent communication skills have a pro-active approach, be client-oriented, knows how to plan and organize, is tuned in to the internal dynamics of the organisation, is a teamplayer, have intercultural sensitivity and external awareness and exhibits an obvious integrity.
The appointment of the successful candidate is subject to the result of a background and medical check. The Embassy offers medical insurance, generous leave days and a 13th month salary. A monthly salary indication for the vacancy is EGP 11.447,-- (before taxes).
The successful candidate will be offered an initial local contract for 1 year which may be extended. Applicants are requested to send a letter of application together with a CV (both in English) and a photograph to the following mailing address: KAI-AZ@minbuza.nl before 8 July 2016.
