Description 1. Ensure the safety, health, environmental and security responsibility of the Companys personnel, office
facilities and business activities.
2. Development and Implementation of the Project HSES Risk management system based on OHSAS
18001, ISO 14001 and ACWA Powers guidelines
3. Formulating, advising, implementing and monitoring contractor and construction HSES management
activities..
5. Reviewing EPC contractors method statements, risk assessments and other HSES related documents
for adequacy and compliance with the EPC contract, Project HSES Management Plan OHSAS 18001,
ISO14001 and good practices,
meetings.
7. Establishing and advising Project Team on HSES management structures within the project and other
forums where other stakeholders are engaged on occupational health safety, environmental and security
matters.
8. Monitoring, evaluating, analyzing and monthly reporting on project HSES management and performance
and incident investigations
11. Conducting daily, weekly and monthly HSES inspections, auditing, and incident investigation to ensure
compliance to the EPC contracts, legal and project requirements.
Qualifications Degree certificate in a technical/engineering field NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent Diploma level and higher from an internationally accredited institution, i.e. Safety Institute of Australia and British Safety Council HSE Trained and Certified Lead Auditor from a globally recognized institute Having a current full professional membership with one of the international HSE professional bodies; i.e. SIA, SIG, IOSH 1. Deep understanding of HSES Management principles and arrangements 2. Deep understanding of HSES management practices for construction and commissioning of power stations 3. Understanding and practical familiarity with World Bank/IFC Environmental and Social Performance Standards and supporting guidelines.

Other Skills 4. Knowledge of applicable legal requirements in Egypt 5. Practical knowledge Safety Risk Management (Hazards and Risks) effective implementation, including Risk assessment and effective controls 6. Incident investigating, analytical and observation skills 7. Practical knowledge of fire fighting, fire suppression and fire detection systems and equipment 8. Practical knowledge of advanced first aid/AED and medical emergency measures and requirements 9. Practical Knowledge of PPE and safety equipment specifications and application 12. Practical Knowledge of identification, classification and disposal of waste and good understanding of the 5S program. 13. Field practical experience on a power, water and chemical process plants with a proven excellent safety record. 15. Competent to use MS Word, Excel, Email & PowerPoint
