Description a. To support and develop teachers of Modern Standard Arabic. b. Support Director of Studies for MSA courses. c. Support the development of new MSA book with teachers. d. Participate in the professional development programme for MSA materials. e. Liaise with Universities Coordinator on the content and teachers of special courses. a. To support and develop teachers of MSA By acting as teachers mentor in preparing lessons and understanding curriculum. To edit all MSA handouts, quizzes and end-of-course examination before being uploaded on the Z share by the Audio-Visual Coordinator. By sitting in on teachers and providing feedback. By working on the induction programme for new teachers. b. Support Director of Studies for MSA courses By administering the MSA placement test to students on the first day of each registration period in an effective and efficient manner. By analyzing students placement test results and assigning them to an appropriate course and classroom in an effective and efficient manner. By managing any student need to change class level after placement, through making sound decisions and giving convincing advice to students. By assigning and orientating teachers to courses on the first day of each registration period. By updating reception staff on any changes to class lists, etc., on the same day as these are made.
Qualifications Certificate in teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language (CTAFL). • MA in teaching Arabic as a foreign Language (MA- TAFL). • MSA teaching experience up to advanced levels. • Preferable experience in teaching special courses, e.g. media. • Preferable experience in preparation of special courses outlines. • Excellent Knowledge of Arabic grammar. • Excellent experience in teaching all MSA levels and some special MSA courses (media, grammar, history, etc.).

Experience 3 - 5 Years.
Other Skills Good computer skills. • Ability to work and plan on your own initiative. • Team worker and a good facilitator.
Salary (L.E.) 4600 - 6000
Comments Teaching 15 hours/week then coordination work for 20 hours. Coordinators may be required by the Director of Studies to work a full 25 hours in special circumstances. Their administrative responsibilities will accordingly be reduced that month.
