Description —Develop, record and maintain cutting edge web-based PHP applications on portal plus premium service platforms. —Participate in a team-oriented environment to develop complex Web-based applications. —Provide technical related consultation plus expertise to all product managers as well as various staff members. — Maintain existing codebases to include troubleshooting bugs and adding new features. —Convert data from various formats (Excel, ACCESS etc.) into developed databases. — Interface with customers directly to: gather requirements, troubleshoot problems, training etc. —Balance a variety of concurrent projects. —Write all clean object-oriented PHP as well as efficient SQL.
Qualifications •Bachelors degree (in Computer Science or related field). •4+ years creating complex, data-driven applications for the web using PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, CSS, etc. •4+ years writing and maintaining SQL in the PostgreSQL or MySQL databases. •Detailed knowledge of web application development and extensive experience using PHP and JavaScript as well as relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL. •Proven hands on experience with web application frameworks such as CAKE, Zend, etc. •Proven hands on experience with JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery and EXT JS •Proven hands on experience with SECURE CODING techniques •Experience developing cross-browser frontends using XHTML, CSS, AJAX, and JavaScript. •Experience with version control systems such as SVN and CVS •Hands on experience with LINUX especially using command line tools and writing SHELL scripts
