Technician: Public Services in the Information Resources

(1) Mission Policy is to hire LES employees
at step 1 of the grade. The current

annual salary for an LES-6, step 1 is L.E. 52,777

(2) Actual FP grade and salary will be
determined by the US Department of State.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
Main staff responsible for assisting visitors
in the public space of the Information
Resource Center,
the U.S. Embassy’s library.AssistsandvisitorsoutreachwithusingIRCresources,centerincluding
computers, books and electronic resources. Maintains and monitors outreach
information and program participation. Maintains a clean and comfortable public
space for IRC visitors.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
All applicants must
address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive

Secondary school certificate is required.
|
2.
|
Two years’workexperience in a library, outreach
center or clerical field is required.
|
3.
|
Level III English and Level IV Arabic
required.
|

1.
Management will consider nepotism/conflict
of interest, budget, and residency status in determining successful candidacy.
2. Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to
apply.
3.
Current Ordinarily Resident employees
with an Overall Summary Rating of Needs Improvement or Unsatisfactory on their
most recent Employee Performance Report are not eligible to apply.
4.
Currently employed U.S. Citizen EFMs who
hold an FMA appointment are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within
the first 90 calendar days of their employment.
5.
Currently employed NORs hired under a
Personal Services Agreement (PSA) are ineligible to apply for advertised
positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment, unless
currently hired into a position with a When Actually Employed (WAE) work
schedule.
