Description Responsible for all purchasing activities of materials and services outside the country. Forecasting levels of demand for services and products to meet the business needs and keeping a constant check on stock levels to maximize business efficiency. Managing materials movements from suppliers to companys warehousing based on logistics rules. Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers. Building and maintaining good relationships with them. Negotiating contracts and monitoring their progress, checking the quality of service provided, ensuring parts and materials are bought at the most competitive price and delivered on time. Processing payments and invoices. Responsible for reviewing L/Cs in purchasing point of view. Keeping contract files and using them as reference for the future. Forecasting price trends and their impact on future activities. Producing reports and statistics using computer software. Evaluating bids and making recommendations based on commercial and technical factors. Ensuring suppliers are aware of business objectives. Reviewing purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy. Maintaining suppliers database updated. Any other issues related to the job.
Qualifications •High education degree level, strong experience in the purchasing sector. •Fluent in English language is a must. •Operate Microsoft Office and be familiar with any other software pertinent to your industry. •Strong leadership skills and proven experience in staff development. •Awareness of logistics terms and requirements. •Ability to take a proactive approach to overcome challenges and achieve results. •Result orientated and confident. •Proven appreciation of customer service expectations and cost demands of business. •Understand commercial and financial requirements and constraints. •Developing sub-ordinates skills and competencies and defines development needs.
