Description Locate and identify potential vendors and suppliers both domestically and internationally. Builds strong relationships with suppliers. Negotiates favorable contractual terms and conditions for Zewail City with suppliers. Ensure that Zewail City receives the greatest value from its procurement activities by effectively negotiating price, terms, and other areas delivering best value. Leads the procurement function and oversees all aspects of purchasing, negotiations, strategy, tool and process implementation for procurement related to goods and services. Conduct competitive procurement actions including Request for Proposal generation, bid evaluation process, and cost/price analysis. Manages and develops resources to deliver business satisfaction and achievement of overall Zewail City business and financial objectives. Delivers on cost reduction commitments through the identification, development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives. Assist Research Centers in developing their procurement plans and consolidate them into a Regional procurement plan on a quarterly basis. Process purchase orders in a timely and efficient manner utilizing the GP System. Evaluate and measure supplier performance to ensure performance meets expectations, including lead time and contract commitments. Provide procurement assistance to corporate project Delivery and field staff. Provide support to corporate initiatives in systems and process improvement, training, and policy formulation related to the overall procurement function. Engage procurement staff in effective mentorship and support regarding procurement systems, policies and procedures and general operations of procurement department.
