Description — Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, and programs. — Assess the benefits of all prospective new projects and venture. — Optimize the handling of banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions. — Coach the Finance and other departments on raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters. — Preserve the companys assets value and increase it. — Present to the board in purchasing long term assets; act as the decision maker in the procurement committee. — Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, regulatory requirements, and Office of Management and Budget audit requirements. — Maintain internal control safeguards and coordinate all audit activities. — Analyze financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas. — Assist in the preparation of operational yearly budget. — Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide the executive Team. — Manage cash flow and forecasting. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs. — Oversee budgeting and the implementation of budgets so as to monitor progress and present financial metrics both internally and externally — Supervise the consolidation process of financial statement of all subsidiaries. — Update the chart of accounts as necessary and make sure it is used consistently across all subsidiaries. — Establish and maintain cash controls. — Familiarity with tax structuring and ability to work with several jurisdictions to optimize taxes — Oversee the treasury function and assist with potential hedging strategies — Manage accounting staff across several geographies — Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications • Minimum 15-20 years of experience is required. • Minimum 8 years in a managerial level is required. • Strong background in financial analysis, financial reporting, and budgeting. • Knowledge of principles and processes related to business planning, analysis and budgeting. • University Degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields is required. • A CFA, CPA or advanced degree in finance is required. • Telecom industry experience is a plus. • Excellent Arabic and English communication skills – written and verbal, French is a plus. • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills. • Excellent computer skills. • Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model. • Deep understanding of and experience with Office of Management and Budget audits.
