Description 1)Confer with client to determine factors affecting planning interior environments, such as budget, architectural preferences, and purpose and function. 2)Advise client on interior design factors such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings or equipment, and color coordination. 3)Coordinate with other professionals, such as contractors, architects, engineers, and plumbers, to ensure job success. 4)Review and detail shop drawings for construction plans. 5)Estimate material requirements and costs, and present design to client for approval. 6)Subcontract fabrication, installation, and arrangement of carpeting, fixtures, accessories, draperies, paint and wall coverings, art work, furniture, and related items. 7)Formulate environmental plan to be practical, esthetic, and conducive to intended purposes, such as raising productivity or selling merchandise. 8)Select or design, and purchase furnishings, art works, and accessories. 9)Use computer-aided drafting (CAD) and related software to produce construction documents.
Qualifications 1.be good at freehand drawing 2.be able to visualize objects in three dimensions (3D) 3.have mathematical skills for making technical and financial calculations 4.have organization and management skills for leading projects 5.have a good eye for detail and design 6.have scientific ability to understand building technology 7.be aware of how buildings and spaces are used 8.be aware of the natural environment 9.be able to solve problems 10.have excellent communication skills 11.work well in a team 12.Have presentation skills.
