Description The incumbent will produce fundamental equity research reports and analysis of industries and companies listed on the Egyptian Stock; be in the form of initial coverage or periodic updates. The incumbent will be part of our dynamic equity research team which continually identifies and analyzes financial information, strategic issues and trends that affect companies, industries and markets on a regional and global scale. — Write reports/notes on companies and sectors under his/her coverage and provide recommendation-specific guidance to the investment community — Communicate research findings with the equities sales force and traders, clients and companys management through one-on-one meetings, roadshows, conference calls‡etc. — Develop and maintain sophisticated MS Excel-based financial models that apply multi-period valuation techniques (e.g. DCF, DDM, Discounted EVA‡etc.) as well as spot multiples (e.g. P/E, P/BV, EV/Sales, EV/EBITDA) — Interpret data, perform analysis on companies, market, economic and political events and understand the value drivers — Maintain close contacts with covered companies management to source information in a timely manner — Mentor junior analysts in the department and supervise their work out through engaging them in bigger analytical projects — Accomplishes department objectives by managing staff; planning and evaluating department activities.
Qualifications • BSc. in Finance or Accounting or Business Administration (MBA or CFA is a plus) with high honors or a minimum GPA of 3.5 • Minimum 5 years in sell-side equity research experience at a reputable financial house with a proven track record of published reports on Egyptian stocks
