Writing and editing: -Research available resources. -Conduct field and office studies and researches on the field international development in general and gender and women issues in particular. -Prepare articles about the field of development, gender and womens issues and current national and international affairs. -Draft press releases about ADEWs activities. -Write letters and handle general correspondence of the media department and other departments if needed. -Prepare ADEWs publications content including ADEWs non periodic magazine entitled women stories- brochures- annual reports) -Write reports and edit reports for other departments -Update the Arabic and English website -Share in making advocacy campaigns for women issues -Translate materials from English to Arabic and vice versa. -Edit the content of ADEWs website on regular basis. -Review the publications proof sheet. -Make public relations with press; TV ; radio people -Do all tasks related to board or chairwoman -Commitment with Charter of Honor association Organizing conferences and seminars: -Write seminars and conferences background papers. -Write the chairpersons speech. -Write the invitation letters. -Send out the invitations. -Prepare the seminars and conferences outcome report. Representing ADEW: -Represent ADEW in external national conferences and seminars in the presence of media experts. Reporting: Submit weekly time sheets and monthly reports to the manager of media department.
Qualifications -Bachelors degree. -At least 2 years experience in writing and editing, preferably in the field of development. -Fluent in both written and spoken Arabic and English. -Computer Proficiency i.e. Internet – MS Office (Word- PowerPoint). -Familiarity with the methods of scientific research and editing publications. -Familiarity with the most significant national and international current affairs in addition to problems and obstacles faced by Egyptian and Arab women.
