Description - Prepares loads for shipment - Facilitate the shipping of products from one destination to another - Makes sure warehouse capacity is kept at optimal levels - Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency - Continually reviews shipping costs, transportation rates, and/or the prices of raw materials to keep costs down where possible - Resolve any arising problems or complaints - Create and update list of suppliers quarterly - Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
Qualifications - BS in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain - Experience often may substitute for education-. - 7-10 years of working experience in the same field - Record of successful distribution and logistics management - Noticeable ability to lead and manage staff - Proficient in standard logistics software - Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills - Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects - Attention to detail, Ability to analyze data and understand connections - Talent for recognizing the opportunities for process improvement in those connections
