Description Handles all purchasing processes from receipt of requisition, classification, Sourcing supplier and development of tender/enquiry documents in coordination with requesters requirements and issue of tenders. Evaluates commercial offers received from different vendors/suppliers, including preparing comparison sheets; coordinating with requesters regarding technical justifications. Conducts commercial negotiation with vendors as necessary. Maintains correspondence with vendors on all matters relating to purchasing such as inquiries, invoices and orders. Prepares purchase orders selecting the most economical and suitable mode of transportation and Freight Forwarder. Provides post Purchase Order support to user departments during the warranty / life time of the equipment purchased, coordinating with suppliers on after sales support, resolving claims and non-conformities as necessary. Coordinates with the warehouse and End User for any maintenance requests and arrange with the suppliers to ensure the replacement of damaged parts. Resolves problems/difficulties notified by suppliers related to specifications, shipping documents, and other matters, which may be notified. Interview sales representatives of manufacturers, fabricators, agents; evaluate their potentiality to provide required commodities or services, discusses their business facilities, conducts site visits and judges their ability to meet Companys purchase requirements.
Qualifications Associate’s degree in Engineering or related field. From 3 to 5 years of prior professional experience. The ability to prioritize, be attentive to details, maintain confidentiality is required. Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving and computer skills required. A sense of urgency and a commitment to timely completion of projects.
