Description —Ensure accurate receipt and put away of merchandise into the distribution facility. —Working knowledge of a Warehouse Management System package. —Create and manage an inbound delivery appointment process. —Ensure compliance with company/governmental procedures and regulations. —Administers the training and safety program and ensure all related procedures are understood and followed. —Ensure the physical inventory levels and shrinkage is kept within acceptable tolerances. —Achieve budgetary goals and reporting. —Maintain statistical records and reporting. —Assist Distribution Center Director with preparation of budgets and capital equipment requirements. —Counsel, motivate, and discipline associates as required. —Assist in the hiring of associates; recommend associates for promotion or termination. —Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications •BS/BA degree, preferably in business or logistics. •Excellent knowledge of MS Office Package •Three to five (3-5) years experience in a logistics field, supervisory experience preferred. •1-3 years of Supply Chain management experience •Thorough knowledge of WMS, materials handling equipment, methods and transportation industry practices. •Good human resource skills including counseling, hiring, termination, motivation, and enforcement of procedures. •Ability to work with outside service providers (i.e., transportation). •Strong computer literacy, including Warehouse Management System and RF, and the ability to quickly learn new technologies. Ability to delegate, coach and guide subordinates towards successful outcomes •Ability to work under pressure and make sound command decisions based on operational and financial considerations
