Description Responsible for managing inventory control, forecasting, transportation and shipment schedules in order to ensure smooth operation. —You will continually conduct business reviews and warehouse audits in order to identify areas of improvement. —Develop strategies and new procedures in order to improve efficiencies and streamline operation processes By continually reviewing processes and conducting market research you will be able to provide up to date information for senior managers to plan budgets and project costing. —As a confident negotiator you will lead vendor negotiations in order to achieve the highest product quality at optimum cost. —Supplier performance review and evaluations will be a crucial part of your role as well as building strong lasting supplier relationships —Monitor and motivate staff —Ensure targets are met.
Qualifications 1-2 years experience in an administrative role •A diploma/degree educated in supply chain, logistics or similar with a minimum of 5 years experience within supply chain/logistics industry. •Excellent communications and interpersonal skills coupled with strong attention to detail and excellent leadership skills. •Good team leader •Planning skills •Plenty of initiative and can work unsupervised •Ability to use spreadsheets, databases and other IT programs •Ability to remain calm under pressure and make decisions quickly
