Description 1. Provide technical support for the database environment to ensure the development and organization of the databases, assessment, and implementation of new technologies 2. Create and monitor the databases availability as well as their backups to ensure the stability of applications 3. Monitor disk space to ensure that the SQL servers wont run out of disk space 4. Provide and design tools to assist in the management of the database and transaction processing environment 5. Provide a working model of our transaction processing environment for capacity assessment and planning 6. Assess the database current performance in order to ensure that it is meeting the standards in addition to identifying any occurred problems 7. Develop a security scheme for the database environment to protect it as well as to assist in its recovery, if necessary 8. Work with the IT team to build the logical database area and provide technical guidance during all phases of the development process 9. Work with vendors to evaluate and implement new technologies
Qualifications T-SQL development and troubleshooting. Experience with ETL. Experience with table and index partitioning. Experience installing, configuring, and operating database monitoring tools.
