Description Day to day management of the logistics function, ensuring cost effectiveness and timely management of all transportation modes, using approved vendors for Imports and Exports. — Create, monitor and complete shipments on time. — Prepare and maintain a delivery schedule and communicating to all relevant departments. — Ensure the integrity and timely preparation and authorization of Import/Export documentation such as Bills of lading, Commercial invoices and Packing lists. — Verification of all freight invoices. — Select cost effective carriers and assist with the re-negotiating of terms of business/service level agreements and performance evaluation and taking corrective actions as required. — Investigate lost/damaged product situations and creatively solve issues to mitigate losses. — Ensure correct Inco terms are used for shipments and provide guidance to Sales and Procurement in optimal Inco term use.
Qualifications • University Degree (B.SC of Commerce is preferred). • Considerable knowledge about government regulations for importing and exporting.
