Description - Match invoices with purchase orders, where applicable, and evidence of receipt of goods or services. - Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment. - Register all vendor invoices and claims to the accounting system (SAGE). - Reconcile and maintain accrued expenses. - Prioritize invoices according to payment terms. - Process cheques requests to be ready on maturity. - Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly. - Respond to all vendors inquiries. - Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies. - Responsible for all yearly vendor balance confirmation - Balance and maintain all accounts payable reports - Follow and prepare monthly and quarterly tax reports such as ‘Sales Tax Report & Withholding Tax Report– - Assist in month end closing.
Qualifications - Bachelor degree in Commerce - Accounting major English section - SAGE accounting program knowledge is an asset.
