Description The Department of Biomedical Sciences at Zewail University, Zewail City of Science and Technology invites applications for a full-time laboratory Manger to start immediately. The candidates will be expected to work with an interdisciplinary team of dedicated faculty members to develop and implement an innovative and integrative interdisciplinary Biomedical Science Program. Responsibilities include ordering reagents, supplies, and equipment, organization of the stock room, developing and maintaining inventory system, and maintenance of laboratory facilities and equipment. The manager will ensure proper storage and disposal of chemical and or biological materials according to safety and compliance regulations Successful candidate must have excellent communication and mentoring skills to ensure proper supervision of students and technicians and efficient coordination with faculty and with vendors. Participation in department academic mission, research and teaching is expected.
Qualifications Masters degree in Biology or a related field is required. Previous experience in Biology laboratory management and knowledge of laboratory safety and regulatory issues is a must.
